PBA Blogroll

Arancaytar's picture

I'm in the process of updating the blogroll of the Progressive Blogger Alliance, which begins with checking the status of each site and grouping them into categories like "active", "dead", "moved" etc. Thanks to the magic of PHP, this post will show my exact progress with this, as I am entering the status of each site in a neat MySQL table.

Here's the breakdown:

The total number of blogs is 227.

This is the breakdown over status:

Status Sitessort icon
159
active 23
unreciprocating 11
gone 10
moved 7
dead 6
slow 6
temp_gone 4

And this is the list of sites, ordered by status:

blogroll module?

Hiya, just wondering how you made out with your spiffy looking blogroll. It would be great to see it added to drupal.org (even if in alpha/beta testing stage). Thanks.

p.s. Is it for v 5.x?

Backburner

Most of my Drupal-related development in the past months has been on my xbbcode module.

I do have a rudimentary prototype for a blogroll module, but it was done firstly for 4.7 and secondly was the first time I ever used Drupal's module API.

I'm not sure what spiffy-looking blogroll you are referring to now (the one I have on the upper left side is a manually-entered menu, not the module). But yes, I did have something and was going to develop it further. Right now I'm preparing for exams, but perhaps in a month or two I could work on it again...
